Different Lifetimes
Different Lifetimes is a window display made completely out of paper, with my grandfather's wedding ring as the featured product. The setting is a replica of his house in Frankfurt, Germany, which he was forced to leave during the Holocaust. The layers of paper provide an ominous and ethereal backdrop to the striking gold of the ring, a link between who he was as a child and who he became in the United States.
